Kohei was born in the 1990s in Tahiti and grew up on the island of Bora Bora. Spending its days by the lagoon and lush hinterland, nature was ubiquitous and of great importance to the young designer. The love story between Kohya and Fashne began at a young age thanks to her grandparents, photographer and designer.
"My grandmother always had a relaxed but elegant way to dress. Her colour palette was very neutral, which I found very chic. The only bright color was pomegranate red, and then beige, black and white."
The pieces are elegant and versatile, playing with fluidity and structure. She mixes old Tahitian patterns with twenty-first-century modernity.
